Origins and Characteristics

Ortega Indica is a vintage Indica strain from Dutch Passion, developed by crossing one of Neville’s Northern Lights #1 with a powerful Ortega landrace from the late 1970s. This classic combination delivers a unique aroma featuring earthy, spicy, and tobacco-like notes that linger in the air.

These plants display classic Indica traits, with a compact, dwarf-like structure and bushy growth patterns. Their uniform phenotypes make them short and easy to manage, ideal for indoor cultivation or greenhouses in temperate regions.

Flowering and Yield

The flowering period lasts 8–10 weeks, producing dense, resinous buds with a medium yield. While exact THC levels are estimated at 15–20%, lab testing was not always available during the strain’s early days.
