Originating from Afghanistan, this pure Indica landrace thrives in a continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. Known for its robust nature and fast flowering, Afghanica is a short plant with thick side branches. Traditionally cultivated for potent Hashish production, it has become a favorite among growers for its resilience and high yields.
Afghanica requires 7-9 weeks of flowering and can be harvested outdoors in late September or early October. Indoors, it can yield up to 500 grams per square meter, while outdoor cultivation may result in 600 to 700 grams per square meter. The plant exhibits excellent vigor, good resistance to mold and disease, and features dark green, large leaves.
Its buds are highly condensed and coated in trichomes, contributing to its high THC content. The aroma is earthy with a heavy floral bouquet, while the smoke offers a sweet hash flavor and a strong body effect typical of Indica strains. It is known for extreme resin production and is considered a heavy narcotic with very high THC levels.
This 100% Indica is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation, with a short flowering period of 7-9 weeks. The plants are short and stocky, making the SOG method ideal when using 12 to 16 plants per square meter. To optimize airflow and light penetration, it is recommended to trim the lower leaves once the plants have grown sufficiently.
Owing to its powerful sedating effects, Afghanica is often used to help with insomnia, stress, and anxiety. It is also beneficial for individuals with eating disorders such as Anorexia, due to its appetite-stimulating properties. As an effective pain reliever, it is particularly useful for managing chronic pain and is mostly used for nighttime medication.
