Medical-Grade Relaxation with a Spicy Kick

Developed for medical users, Pandora is a fast-finishing, high-yielding autoflowering indica-dominant hybrid known for its compact size and powerful relaxation effects. This strain delivers up to 400 g per m² indoors and 100 g per plant outdoors, with a flowering time of 8–9 weeks indoors and 10–11 weeks outdoors.

Origins and Genetics

Pandora is a cross between Afghan landrace x Indian sativa x Ruderalis. The indica foundation from Afghan genetics provides deep relaxation, while the touch of Indian sativa adds a lightness to the experience. Ruderalis ensures automatic flowering, making this strain ideal for growers in various climates.

Sweet and Spicy Experience

During flowering, Pandora emits a strong, sweet aroma rich in Humulene and Caryophyllene. After curing, the buds retain their sweetness with a spicy kick, offering a full-bodied flavor profile.

The effects are deeply relaxing, typical of a high-quality indica. Users often describe the sensation as cozy and uplifting, mentally transporting them away from stress while gently calming the body. It’s an ideal strain for unwinding at the end of the day.

Medical users appreciate Pandora for its calming and sedative properties. It is also reported to help with appetite stimulation and may offer relief for anxiety and stress-related conditions. Its balanced effects and reliable performance make it a favorite for therapeutic use.

Cultivation Insights

Indoors, Pandora thrives in compact spaces and delivers impressive yields, especially when given an extra week in flower. Its high calyx-to-leaf ratio makes trimming easy, and it tolerates high nutrient levels well. Growers can expect plants with thick colas and a dense structure.

Outdoors, Pandora performs reliably in both northern and southern climates. It remains discreet in urban gardens and rarely exceeds 1.20 m in height. In sunny regions, yields can exceed expectations, making it a top performer among autoflowering strains.

Growing Report

Pandora is an autoflowering variety named after Pandora of Greek legend. As one of the first autos released by Paradise Seeds, this indica-dominant strain (a mix of Afghan, Indian, and ruderalis genetics) quickly gained a reputation for its fast finish, high yield, and 18–20% THC content.

Described as having a sweet and spicy flavor with a 'sense of cosiness' and relaxation, this strain is also popular with medical users who grow their own medicine. With an estimated yield of 400 g per m² indoors and 100 g per plant outdoors, Pandora is a favorite among growers.

Germination and Vegetative Growth

The three Pandora seeds germinated easily, sprouting within three days. The grower used a 20-hour light cycle throughout the cultivation cycle, resulting in vigorous and uniform growth from the start. Within two weeks, the plants had grown to about 15 cm tall with several side branches forming. The dark green, broad leaves clearly showed indica traits.

By the end of the seedling stage, the first female preflowers appeared at the tops of the plants, signaling successful feminization and readiness for flowering.

Flowering Progress

During flowering, Pandora exhibited strong stretching, reaching heights of 50–60 cm within five weeks. The plants produced dense female flower clusters with noticeable resin buildup on the calyxes and leaves. A sweet and spicy aroma filled the grow room.

After about 50 days, the buds had become dense and tight, with a high calyx-to-leaf ratio. The Doc noted that the bud structure resembled a 50/50 indica/sativa hybrid, which he considered a breeder’s achievement.

However, the plants took slightly longer to fully ripen than stated by Paradise Seeds. After 72 days, two of the three plants were harvested with about 80% of the flower hairs withered and most of the calyxes thickly swollen, indicating full maturity.
