Origins and Development

Critical Sour represents the next generation of hybrids from Female Seeds, developed with the aim of creating an early-maturing outdoor strain. This big-producing variety is covered in delicious trichomes and was created by crossing a Maroc x Grapefruit mother with an inbred Auto NL x Auto NL x Auto Critical father to accelerate flowering.

Critical Sour inherits specific traits from both the mother and the Auto Critical genes, making it easy to grow and highly hardy. It remains shorter than most other outdoor strains, and one in thirty plants may autoflower. As an indica-dominant strain, it is compact with a sturdy, flexible stem and wide internodes that stretch when entering the flowering stage.

Critical Sour boasts an impressive flower-to-leaf ratio, with more flower than leaves. It produces thick, resinous, and dense buds that are long and slender. The open bud structure promotes good air circulation, reducing the risk of mold during the final stages.

Critical Sour has a pleasant aroma that is fruity, earthy, and spicy, making it ideal for stealth growing. The gentle taste upon inhalation resembles the fabled pineapple pheno of Grapefruit, with a subtle spiciness and earthiness from the Maroc and Auto NL genes, creating an exciting flavor palette.
