Germination Guide

To ensure a healthy harvest from the start, it's essential to germinate your Maple Leaf seeds carefully. At Blimburn Seeds, we recommend using our simple germination technique for best results.

Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one on a plate and spread the seeds 2 cm apart. Place the second towel on top, ensuring excess water is removed. Cover with an opaque plate and store in a warm, dark location.

Monitoring: Check every 4–6 hours to ensure the paper towels remain moist. Germination typically occurs within 24 to 120 hours. Once tap roots appear, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with 2 cm of soil. Water regularly by spraying to keep the soil moist.

Ideal Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 69.8 ºF – 78.8 ºF (21 ºC – 26 ºC). Use purified room temperature water with a pH of 5.5 to 6.5. Keep seeds away from light, and avoid touching or applying pressure to them.
