Description

Origins and Genetics

9 Pound Hammer is a powerful indica-dominant hybrid, consisting of 80% Indica and 20% Sativa. It is the result of crossing three distinct strains: Gooberry, Hells OG, and Jack the Ripper. These parent strains contribute to its robust genetic profile and unique characteristics.

With a THC content of 18% – 23%, 9 Pound Hammer delivers a potent, euphoric high that is both relaxing and mentally uplifting. Its CBD levels are quite low, around 1%, which means the psychoactive effects are more pronounced than its medicinal benefits. This makes it a favorite among users seeking deep relaxation and a strong sense of euphoria.

The strain's most abundant terpene is myrcene, known for its sedative properties and role in the deep, relaxing high it provides. Linalool adds a soft, sweet-floral note, associated with calm and stress relief.

Cultivation and Growing Tips

9 Pound Hammer is well-suited for both novice and experienced growers due to its high yield and resilience. It carries the lineage of several well-known strains, including OG Kush, Cinderella 99, and Blackberry moonrocks. This heritage contributes to its strong effects and rich aroma, characterized by a mix of earthy, fruity, and citrus notes.

When cultivating 9 Pound Hammer, it is important to germinate the seeds carefully for a healthy harvest from the start. At Blimburn Seeds, we recommend following our easy germination technique to ensure the best results.

Germination Guidelines

Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.

Monitoring: Check every 4–6 hours to ensure the paper towels remain moist, spraying with room-temperature water as needed. Germination typically occurs within 24 to 120 hours.

Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.

Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ºF – 78.8 ºF (21 ºC – 26 ºC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.

Record Keeping: To qualify for the three-month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
