Amnesia Haze Auto

Amnesia Haze Auto: A Fast-Growing Version of an Incredibly Popular Strain

The Amnesia Haze strain, originally bred in the Netherlands in the 1990s by Hy-Pro Seeds, is known by several names—Amnesia, Amnesia Haze, Champagne Haze, The Bomb, Ultra Haze, and more. What unites these monikers is the strain’s renowned potency as a sativa-dominant cannabis variety.

One challenge with sativa strains like Amnesia is their long flowering time, often stretching from 11 to 12 weeks, with some phenotypes requiring up to 20 weeks. This can be daunting for home growers. Additionally, these plants tend to grow quite tall, making them less ideal for indoor cultivation.

The Amnesia Haze Auto strain addresses these issues by combining the euphoric high and spicy-sweet flavor of the original with a significantly shorter growth cycle and more compact height. This autoflowering version is suitable for both beginners and seasoned growers.

A Robust Autoflowering Strain

Indoors, Amnesia Haze Auto seeds take approximately 80–85 days to mature from germination. During this time, they can grow quite large for an autoflowering strain, reaching heights of 50–100cm. This reflects their sativa lineage, with long, thin leaves and elongated buds.

Like the original Amnesia, Amnesia Haze Auto grows vigorously and produces generous yields of high-quality flowers. Indoors, it can yield up to 400g/m², while outdoor cultivation can result in 130–180g/plant. The plant thrives with proper feeding but should not be overfed, as Haze varieties are sensitive to excess nutrients.

The long, foxtail-like buds of Amnesia Haze Auto emit an earthy and citrusy aroma that intensifies after curing. This strain maintains the vigorous growth and impressive yields of its parent, making it a favorite among growers.
